Hello! I have spent the past couple of weeks hanging out in Michigan where I grew up. I noticed I watch way less television somehow when I am in the suburbs with my family which means I come back to LA often behind on a lot of the shows I want to watch. Something I have bookmarked for this week is the newest season of Chef’s Table, which is focuses on four legends in the culinary space. I am particularly excited for the Jamie Oliver episode, who I think rarely gets the credit he deserves without a large amount of ridicule (that he does not deserve).

Mother’s Day is also coming up in the US and I found this set of tea party-themed chocolates and tea from Dandelion in SF to be incredibly charming. The three box set collection includes a packet of super buttery and tender sable cookies, a tin of truly gorgeous single-origin chocolate hazelnut spread (aka the bougiest of Nutellas), and three stunning teas (plus more!). A fun present for moms and mother-figures in your life who deserve a bit of quiet luxury. The wrong present for my mom, who has never tried tea of any type in her entire life. I instead got her a couple of fun, very curated to her taste treats from Trader Joe’s, including a very sweet card.

Subscribe to make sure you’re the most interesting person at any dinner.

Trader Joe’s is secretly my favorite place to pick up greeting cards. They are incredibly inexpensive (I’ve never paid more than $2 for one), and well designed. Trader Joe’s frequently rotates out the selection for seasonal holidays but they always have fun birthday/thank you/congrats/thinking of you type cards available.

Some other things I found charming this week: the Great Jones x Ratatouille collection (a brilliant culinary crossover!!), the cover of theLugma (still need to flip through it!), and these gluten-free pretzels from FitJoy (hate the name of the brand, love the snack).
