Hello! Welcome to Tap Is Fine!

This newsletter is dedicated to the business of eating.

My name is Khushbu Shah and I spent the past four years doing loops around the United States (and a few international cities), finding all the best new chefs in teh country as the Restaurant Editor at Food & Wine.

I wrote a cookbook that came out last June called AMRIKAN: 101 Recipes from the Indian American Diaspora. It was one of Barnes and Nobles best books of the year last year — NPR, too.

I love the newsletter format because it isn’t beholden to page views or SEO or regular updates — things you’re always up against working for a publisher or media company. There is freedom here to get really weird or hyper niche, and I will be doing just that.

What You Can Expect

Here is what you can expect from Tap Is Fine!:

A newsletter every week, though you will usually get two. One is free and one is paid.
